The Quest for Mitsou

Mitsou has been one of my favorite Québécois personalities for a while now. Though I didn't understand any of her lyrics when I first heard Bye Bye Mon Cowboy back in the late 80s, she still made an impression on me. Then, as usually happens to francophone artists in English Canada, she seemed to disappear, only to return a few years later with a rather risqué video for her song Dis-Moi, Dis-Moi. From what I've been told, her songs still get air-play during various Toronto "One Hit Wonder" hours on the radio. But despite our ignorance in English Canada, she's continued to have a vibrant career in Quebec. It's with that in mind that I contacted her representatives to try and arrange an interview. Her schedule didn't permit it earlier in the Fall, so I tried again in mid-November. Here's the response I got today:

Bonjour Alan,

Meilleures salutations,

Julie

Not exactly the response I had hoped for, but rest assured, I'll try again. I suppose this is where my stubborn streak comes in handy, eh? I'd just like to take a quick moment to send Mitsou and her family my best wishes during the holiday season and, of course, health and happiness for their soon-to-be new arrival. Til next time...

And in sports...
Myriam Bedard has been arrested. Why did it take so long to track down a woman on skis? Granted, she had a rifle.

Where's a Christmas posting Scrooge? Too busy playing motorboat in the punch bowl full of rum spiked eggnog?

OJ, good thing you gave up teaching. 365/115 is what? 3.173919

OJ was a music teacher. It was a rare day that he had to count higher than 4.

As the implication about the infrequency of Al's postings, Mr. OJ is failing to take into account Mr. Here's unrelenting schedule. It's not every day someone has the opportunity to get into the Guinness World Records for most viewings of Much Music's Kisses & Disses.

Okay slugger lets talk about your last quarterly numbers, since Sept 2006, there were 6 posts in sept; 8 in october; 10 in november ( reached your goal there) and only 6 in December. For a grand total of 30 posts in the last 4 months! That would make an of one every four days! I am afraid you are hitting a slump and might be in the range for a "slump Buster". I term made popular by Mark Grace.

Take the number of postings from December 16 to December 29th and project that rate over the upcoming year to yield a whopping 26 postings for 2007.

On the other hand, if you consider that prolific period from December 14th to the 15th of that same month, we can look forward to daily posts for 2007.

I'm surprised Al hasn't issued a suitable challenge to our good citrus friend. I believe the wording would be something like this:

"If you think it's soooo easy, let's see you do better."

Al, that's a bold cha-llenge on your part. And kudos to Mr. OJ for taking him up on it.

I'm still waiting for OJs blogging to commence. Zero posts divided by anything is still zero.

Though zero divided by zero is classified as undefined

The world is divided into 2 types of people... those who blog and those who leave comments on peoples blog. Think of me and the p-man as the statler and waldorf of this blog. Entertain us or we will have to branch out and visit Michelle or Raymi. I wonder what paige6 is doing for the holidays.... oh paige, you and your naughty adventures about buying boots or the last party you went to. That blog reminds me of the annoying song " the sweater" we heard whilst we drove out to Mickey D's for breakkie in my propane powered monstrousity.

Oh by the way I realize what you kids are trying. But the global groundswell for an OJ Blog would be massive. Parts of the internet would be unusable, as searchs for it would be more popular than " Brittney, Lindsay and Paris Kissing." But waiting for the end of the year blog as Al summizes the year that was in Al be Here land. Do we recall the invasion of the Voix de Michelle? Or Raymi fan #1? Or the Landry interview? Or how to perform for visiting americans? ( remember to stand up for the flag.) The birth of a new life long Magic player and future Jones soda contestant? ( remember green and white is for losers.)Oj winning the pool? (thanks Mom) A happy new year to all the regular visitors. I look forward to see how our illustrious blogger has rung in the New Years. ( hopefully his bell is not as cracked as the liberty one.)

Meryn Cadell wrote The Sweater. Where's my pie?

OJ, were you at home Friday night studying for your brain scan? I hope everything is copacetic.

I can't wait for Al's posting about his New Year's Resolutions. It's always good to start the new year off with a laugh.
